Captions that keep your animation
Style one text layer the way you always do. Lester transcribes the voiceover and rebuilds that exact layer for every caption, re-timed to the real words. Your font, your animator, your easing.
Six of countless looks. Lester copies whatever you build — these are just animations made the ordinary way, in After Effects.
It copies your layer
Most caption tools give you their look with your words in it. Lester works the other way round: it reads the Text Animator, Range Selector and Offset keyframes on the layer you built, then reproduces that animation on every caption, stretched to the timing of the actual speech.
Speech captions
Word-level transcription running on your own machine. Nothing is uploaded, and after setup nothing needs an internet connection.
- Word-by-word reveal driven by your own Offset keyframes
- Splits on real pauses, not a fixed word count
- One or two lines, decided per caption by what fits
- Held long enough to read, never flashing past
- Template layer switches itself off when it's done
Quick presets
Your own User Presets folder, searchable, one click to apply across everything you have selected.
- Scans your preset folders, including subfolders
- Search by name, with favourites and recents
- Applies to every selected layer, not just the first
- One undo step for the whole application
One button, then your timeline back
Build one caption
A text layer with a Text Animator, a Range Selector and animated Offset. Lester checks it and names anything missing.
Press Generate
It finds the voiceover, transcribes it locally, and splits it into captions at natural pauses.
Keep working
Every caption is a copy of your layer with your easing intact. One undo removes the lot.
